Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Announcements
We will be resuming all usual game activities including applications and reserves on OCTOBER 1st. So get your applications ready and gear up for some new players and characters to join the game!
Thank you to everyone who offered endless emotional support during this time. We thank our player base for being exceptionally understanding and patient. It was greatly appreciated!
Our mod team has gained several new helpers and we hope to have everything streamlined and cleaned up by October 1st! Thank you to everyone who has been willing to take time out of their own lives to make this game as amazing as it can be!
Upcoming Weather During October
Characters can expect a classic autumn during October for those who live in Epiphany and Willow. Those who reside in Cruel Summer will notice that the desert is a bit cooler, especially at night, but will remain hot for the remainder of autumn/winter. Those who live/visit Wintermute will notice that the mountains and arctic will be exceptionally cold/frigid and filled with blizzards.
A dense fog will roll out from Exile and sweep throughout the rest of Folkmore. This fog will be heavily enchanted and will cause quite a bit of shenanigan in October! Characters can notice this heavy fog starting October 1st - though enchantments will come along with October's event. Characters who are sensitive to magic will be able to pick up on the fact that this is a magical fog though characters will not be able to do much to resist the fog itself.

Invitations
Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.
Due to extenuating circumstances during August, we had taken an overall mod hiatus on the game that extended from the end of August until October 1st.
All players are allowed two invites from our August SOU page. These invites will expire on November 11th. This means all invites on this page are good for October and November cycles.
Additionally, we will be holding a typical SOU during October that will open up November invites in general - which means technically, if you use the August invite SOU and the October invite SOU, each player would be allotted three invites.

Characer Species: Half-Elf
Character Details: Vex always has her hair braided, with her blue feathers tucked behind her right ear. She's voiced by Laura Bailey. And she always has her adorable bear, Trinket, with her.
Character Summary: She's an half-elven ranger/rogue mutliclass from a world of dragons and dungeons and too many darn gods. Her home base nowadays is Whitestone, but the group of adventures she fights beside also has a keep in the city of Emon (that has recently shown up in Folkmore.
Character Role: Legend, of course
Character Role Deets: She has beautiful wings and a golden aura that seems to backlight her when it shows up.
Character Living Quarters: Currently, she and the rest of Voxhaus are living in Greyskull Keep, which is between Leshy (treehouse land) and Willow.
Character Schools: She doesn't go to school.
Day to Day Life: Vex spends waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time at her new bakery in Willow. Just look for the shop with the bear and the half-elf in black hocking cupcakes! When she's not there, she can be found helping her friends or at Greyskull Keep. (it's really hard to miss!)
Current Mindset/Health: Vex is currently really stinking happy. She does miss her friends who aren't in Folkmore, but she's just chilling and enjoying her vacation from constant adventuring. Even the last few events haven't really crushed her good mood.
Recent Developments: She and Percy are now soulmates and have a familiar bond, so that's some adjustment. The bakery opened last month so that's still her focus for now. Greyskull Keep showed up as well, and she's been spending time not at the bakery at the Keep.
Goals For Your Character: I want her to actually take in more people.
Problems With Your Character: She's got some guilt that she's so happy, because what is this?

Character Species: Krityan
Character Details: Um, those are antennae, not hair extension or tails, thanks!
Character Summary: Judith happens to be a fairly secretive person, but she likes to troll and tease her friends. She can be friendly, but if things get on her nerves, she has a habit of walking away.
Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Since she's actually a Jackalope, she's also got bunny ears, antlers and a cute fluffy bunny tail
Character Living Quarters: Judith has a trailer out in Puca Park that she lives by herself with her friend Ba'ul visiting often
Character Schools: Argona, for hand-to-hand combat
Day to Day Life: On Monday and Tuesday mornings, Judith can be found at Argona. In the afternoons, she goes to the fighting pit nearest Puca Park in Cruel Summer to test out her new techniques and defend her title. In the evenings, she goes to visit Yuri, Flynn and Raven. As of late, she's been riding around on Ba'ul to get to places faster.
Current Mindset/Health: Mentally, Judith is pretending she's fine. The memories weren't the greatest and so she's been dwelling on Hermes and his legacy a lot more than she did back on Terca Lumireis since she has so much downtime and no one to really talk to who understands it. Physically, she's gotten a few more scrapes and bruises from all the fighting she's been doing lately, but she's otherwise fine.
Recent Developments: Ba'ul arrived and she has been a lot happier about the way things are going for her in that regard.
Goals For Your Character: Eventually, I would like for Judith to make friends outside of her cast. She's made some CR, but it's not a lot and she doesn't really trust anyone but her castmates. So, friends. Actual friends.
Problems With Your Character: Judith is just now coming to actual grips with what her father's legacy is. It's not good. So, she's thrown herself into fighting more to try and get out all of her bad feelings.
Wanted CR: Romances? Mentors? Family figures? All of the above! I would love for Judith to make progress to the point that she's confiding actual feelings and not just hiding them behind teasing and out-and-out trolling. I'm also okay with people being upset with her for whatever reason. She can have really strong opinions and she doesn't pull her punches. That can be jarring for some people.

Tora | Midnight Poppy Land | Familiar
Character Age: 26
Character Species: Human
Character Details: Tora has a deep voice and amber eyes that are what he was born with, thanks. He's also very tall and muscular. Since he's quiet, normal people find him really intimidating, especially if they recognize his mafia clan tattoos.
Character Summary: He's a tall, quiet dude that grew up in a rough part of town. When he was young, both of his parents died and when he was in foster care, he was taken in by the head of the Balthuman Mafia Clan. Since that's the case, Tora is very high in the clan, despite hating the life, and he has a group of men under him that do what he tells them with very little backtalk when it's important. He also serves as a bodyguard to the heir of the clan (who is his best friend as well).
Character Role: Familiar (tiger)
Character Role Deets: Tora has a tiger's tail most of the time and he's actively turned his arm into a tiger's paw. When he's been super teasing and playful (with Poppy), he has had little tiger ears pop up, but he has yet to be moved to a position where he's had to transform completely, so I'd like to do that eventually.
Character Living Quarters: In the cottagecore nightmare that is Poppy's treehouse.

Day to Day Life: He's been kinda just exploring, but not really doing anything but giving Poppy a hard time
Current Mindset/Health: Physically and mentally, Tora's actually never been better. Turns out when he's away from the clan and with the girl he likes, he's actually happy.
Recent Developments: He and Poppy actually took their relationship to the next level, so he's pretty happy about that.
Goals For Your Character: I want to find something for him to do
Problems With Your Character: He's going to be bored soon, so I really need to find him something to do with all of his free time.

Character Details:Lorna's got natural green hair and her tone of voice is almost always vaguely sardonic.
Character Summary: Lorna is a mutant freedom fighter (...nice way to put it) who did some Very Extreme things with the belief that it would ensure a safe world for her people. Besides that she used to help train young mutants and she also has a daughter back home who she left with her Aunt to raise. Completing the cycle that her own father (Magneto) did with her.
Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: I'd love to do something more with the role aspect, especially with her growing fangs in and the darker aspects of a myth.
Character Living Quarters: Lorna hasn't felt entirely comfortable here or with the idea of settling down in one place alone. It's been a long time since she's lived alone. So she's just been wandering. It might be nice to have someone notice that? Maybe encourage her to pick a place to settle down?
Character Schools: For something specific to do I think I'll have her start teaching at Baba Yaga. So if you'd like to explore your character's power with a teacher that thinks practical experience in defending yourself is how you teach, she's your teacher! Or if your character has developed powers here and is trying to learn about the, she'd be happy to help.
Day to Day Life: Wandering and trying to learn as much as she can about how this place works, it's people, and how to get around.
Current Mindset/Health: Lorna is not a big fan of having something influence her other than herself, so after the food from September she's a bit upset. And starting to believe perhaps this place isn't as great as she was hoping. She's also lonely but doesn't want to admit that.
Recent Developments: Not really!
Goals For Your Character: I don't have any particular goals in all honesty. Expanding upon CR and seeing where things go! Though, I have a particular interest in possibly bad influence CR with people who encourage more "you have to take what you want and make the world bend to you" thoughts. She's started to lean back towards that and it might be interesting to keep going.
Problems With Your Character: Guilt attached to some of the things from the last event, like cuddling with someone and for dumping her problems on people.
Wanted CR: Everything! I really really have loved all the threads I've been doing from last event/her post and would love to continue strengthen CR there. Awkward follow ups and things like that. Also would love any new CR. I worry a bit that not having plurk makes it a bit harder to plot things/keep things going, but I'm always open to anything new or old! I also tend to doodle little cute things of CR so be prepared to potentially have that awkwardly sent your way.

Character Summary: Behold: An anime protag whose layers of youthful optimism have been repeatedly clawed at and battered by nightmare horrorterrors, abandonment, and the haunting shadow of legacies he can't live up to! He's trying his Best, even when he's certain he's not, and can't escape the want to do the right thing for others, even at his own expense.

Character Role Deets: He's still in the process of learning all this magic stuff and can't control the animal shapes yet

Character Species: Genetically engineered human
Character Details: Albino, usually scowling a bit, gothpunk aesthetic and likely wearing some kind of tinted visor or sunglasses if it's even remotely sunny, has a metal half-collar at the back of his neck that's connected to a spinal implant, but generally covered up.
Character Summary: Created in an underground laboratory to be a weapon, didn't escape until he was ~16ish after things went to shit. Doesn't like to get involved in things that don't concern him personally, but will put others in front of himself if he's grown attached to them. Irritably stoic and snarky at times unless something is agitating him. Violent and vicious when angry or stressed, and there's the potential for his other 'personality' to come to the forefront when he can't handle something himself mentally, which is the psychological manifestation of his spine device. Afraid of women and might freak out if touched uninvited.

Character Role Deets: Two additional sets of shorter canine-like fangs, slightly longer clawed fingernails, night vision.
Character Living Quarters: Cottage in Gram.
Character Schools: N/A
Day to Day Life: Mostly loitering around aimlessly by himself (or with Nill) if nothing weird is going on. Stays at home doing jack shit a lot as he isn't much for socializing outside of contrived situations.
Current Mindset/Health: Less mentally stable than usual; been flip-flopping on that due to outside influences sparking more off-the-rails violence he half expected, and cuddling he really did not.

Goals For Your Character: I'm winging it.
Problems With Your Character: Folkmorian tea encounter is going to complicate his intimacy issues, and that could go either way in whether it gets worse. Falling more into the hole of "I am a monster" after aforementioned violence and losing his shit a little bit.
Wanted CR: No specific dynamics desired at this point, I'm less of a planner and more organic "let's see where this goes". I've been hesitant about initiating cr with those who state they don't want anything negative and assuming that includes "cr with an asshole character", so hmu if that doesn't count, ig.

Monthly Pacing: I tend to do a round of tags a day at least though I do at times go a few days in-between and other times I boomerrang constantly. Just depends on energy levels and all that. September was a low tag and chill month so I'm looking to really dig into October.
OOC Limitations/Disinterests: I'm interested in all sorts of RP -- gen, romantic, sexual and violent as well. I'm not great at writing fight scenes but I play fighty ladies so... hit me with your best shot.

Hayan Park | Unholy Blood | Legend
Character Age: 20
Character Species: Pureblood Vampire. She was born a vampire, not turned.
Character Details: Hayan is 5'3" with bright blue eyes and slitted pupils, white hair, dark black claws for fingernails and red lips. The red is very natural, all part of the pureblood vampire thing. In the past she had a human guise as well but she got so angry at one point it broke and she can't go back now.
Also she can't eat regular food, it makes her violently ill because of how vampire blood circulates. She can drink anything though (alcohol doesn't get her drunk whatsoever) and she can eat anything made with blood, particularly seonji (coagulated chunks of ox blood made for a soup in Korea).
And she's not undead! She's a vampire but she was born one as compared to most other vampire in the series that were turned. That's why she's called a pureblood.
Character Summary: Info for all of her powers. In short summary she can run real fast, is very strong, can recover from nearly anything that doesn't destroy vital organs and has terrific hearing and smell.
Hayan is a girl with a cheerful personality that's only now coming back to shine after a good half year of being constantly mad and killing other vampires. Her emotions do turn on a dime sometimes and she's quite capable of turning chillingly serious or filled with rage. For the most part though all Hayan has ever wanted was to live a normal life loving the people in her family, whether they're found or not. She's very kind, doesn't believe in taking human blood and really just wants to help.
Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She has eyes that sometimes change to reflect her moods -- a brilliant glowing red when she's angry, soft pink when she's flushed or embarrassed. More will crop up eventually. She also has silvery white wings to match her hair that tend to pop out along with her white crown of thorns halo when she gets excited, haha.
Character Living Quarters: A cottage in Gram.
Character Schools: Nowhere at the moment but I'm keen on sending her to either Agrona for fighting, Baba Yaga for abilities or Amrita for survival.
Day to Day Life: So before she got here Hayan was involved in a near six month campaign to stomp out all of the Angels of Death, the defacto leaders of all the vampires in Korea. She'd also discovered the identity of the one they called 'God', an imperfect pureblood who is bent on making everyone in Korea a vampire.
She has stuff to do at home, sure, but for now she's just chilling and resting. Now that camp is done and the waters have receeded Hayan wants to explore Folkmore a little more. I think this month she's going to go look around the schools and pick one to start attending. Also the libraries at the schools -- Hayan loved to try to read as a kid.
Current Mindset/Health: Hayan is torn. She had things she needs to accomplish at home but she realizes fretting over them here isn't going to change things. Hayan has the mindset of "if something is going to happen anyway, me feeling a certain way about it isn't going to change it" and so she keeps on keeping on.
Recent Developments: So she's trying to make friends, honest she is. The one thing she misses most is eating with other people. She's been tentative about asking for anyone to eat with her because she generally can only eat blood-based products (like broths made with / including blood, coagulated blood like seonji). She can cook regular food -- she does it all the time for her adopted human brother and sister in canon! She's even a really good cook believe it or not, her parents were as well. So if you can hang with someone who can drink anything but can't eat regular food, hit her up.
Goals For Your Character: FOUND FAMILY. Eventually I want Hayan to make a boatload of friends and maybe take a couple of them under her wing as their big sis. I wouldn't shrink from anything romantic/sexual either (18+ F/M of course) though by this point in canon she's starting to have an inkling of feelings for one Detective Euntae Hwang.
Problems With Your Character: She doesn't want to gross anyone out by seeing her eat blood, haha.
Wanted CR: Give me dat found family, those awkward attractions or outright romances. Basically I'll take any CR you have.
Unwanted CR: I have no limits. I am a free spirit.

Poppylan "Poppy" Wilkes | Midnight Poppy Land | Legend
Character Age: 21
Characer Species: Human
Character Details: Poppy is known in canon for being short (5'2") and being curvy. She isn't shy about her figure but after years of downplaying her looks for an insecure boyfriend she's finding herself wearing brighter colors, more form-fitting outfits and generally showing herself off for herself. She's got a round face and big expressive eyes to boot so she really is cute as a button.
Also if you see me making jokes about her being a hamster it's a joke in-canon. She isn't actually a hamster, I promise. Tora just refers to her as a hamster with big balls (hence the journal name) because he's a goddamn giant and she's never been scared of him apparently.
Character Summary:
Poppy is probably one of the brightest and sweetest people you'll meet. She's a friend to damn near anyone, even the roughest and toughest types. She loves to read (particularly erotica), works as an editor back home (or did, long story), loves plants and also paints and cooks, both of which she's stupidly good at. She'll bring you a character-themed bento of your choice as proof! She's also a countrygirl at heart who isn't afraid of any creepy crawlies (she outright grabs bugs with her bare hands) and amusingly can throw a really good punch after her father put her into boxing classes as a kid!
Inwardly Poppy is a woman looking to pick up the pieces of her broke self-confidence and self-esteem after a multiyear relationship with Julri, a guy she went to high school with. Julri wanted a more "mature, sexy woman" and found Poppy's brightly colored and patterned shirts, character bentos and sense of humor to be childish and embarrassing. So instead of dumping her apparently his best idea was to bitch at her constantly about all of that. And Poppy fearing abandonment took it for a long time until she finally caught him cheating.

Current Mindset/Health: Despite the weirdness of this place she's doing pretty good! A lot was going on at home and she's decompressing from that.
Goals For Your Character: Make some friends! Maybe bake something? There's a lot of bakeries around so I'm kind of considering having Poppy so some custom made bento box thing or some such eventually. She was also an editor at home so she might throw out on the network looking for writers she can help out and/or start publishing erotica under some pen name ... maybe alongside Tora, lol.
Recent Developments: Memories of Julri last month really showed Poppy how different Tora is from her ex. Not that she thought they were similar but she was shy and skittish still of opening herself up completely to Tora for fear of it turning out like her time with Julri. However she decided she was tired of holding back and being tentative, afraid of being hurt again, and opened up her bedroom to Tora if he was willing. Now someone tell her that they're probably dating too?
Problems With Your Character: So Poppy's main struggle in canon is allowing herself to be completely open and vulnerable. She seems so damn chipper because it is something of a mask to conceal just how afraid she is of being abandoned after having her mother leave her and her father when she was a kid and then her father dying of cancer when she was fourteen. Julri complained of her always keeping a wall between him and her and he isn't wrong, she was never open enough with him to sleep with him partially out of that and partially because she didn't think he would be care as much about her once he did sleep with her. So ... yeah, she's got that baggage to unpack.
Wanted CR: Romance is off the table but one-sided crushes are perfectly valid. She also loves making friends of all stripes and she'll take you into her little family openly and eagerly.
Unwanted CR: I'm open to any of it, just know if you make an enemy out of her then you kind of make one out of Tora as well. And he's a whole lot scarier than Poppy could ever be.

BongoHumanCharacter Details: Reko stands at 5'7", weighs 121lbs. with a somewhat muscular build (it's a Yabusame thing?). She's got that punk rock / visual kei look going hard BUT her hair? All natural ... save for the blonde streak, sure. But that wild puffiness of it is something she's always had.
Character Summary: Info. Reko is kind of a musical prodigy and had a very close, loving relationship with her big brother Alice until she was discovered by the music industry when she was in grade school. She dropped out of the music industry by the time she was going into highschool, a thoroughly changed person. The corporate engine basically broke her down and spit her out, forcing her to write music she felt no passion for and leaving her a bitterly angry person who would sooner kick you than talk to you. She hated everyone and had no mercy for anyone.
Then her brother Alice ended up in jail. Reko lost all enjoyment in music, the one thing she thought she was good at and understood. In the two years between when he went in and when they met again Reko looked hard and deep at her life and did a thorough 180 on the person she had once been.
So sure, she's a little rough in her attitude and how she acts but Reko has a huge heart that's still recovering from a multitude of things. She wants to help people, wants to do the sort of things she ought to have done for her family through the years and all that. She believes in "harsh to the strong, kind to the weak" nowadays and fully enacts that whenever she can as repayment for the bitch she once was.
That's why she's a Myth because Reko still isn't very good at seeing herself as a good person. Instead she's sort of a sinner trying to redeem herself.

Day to Day Life: Okay so... before camp, Reko went around doing chores and favors for the animals. Not even lying, she was probably the person you saw lifting little rabbit folk up to trees to help harvest things or such. Npw she's back to that as well as going to the Prancing Pony to sing acapella or with other musicians! She doesn't just sing metal, you know -- she's pretty good at folk music too.
Current Mindset/Health: Alice is alive! Reko couldn't hate this place even if she tried now, no matter what bullshit it throws at her. If her big bro can live here then she's fine with whatever "price" she has to pay for that.
Recent Developments: Reko has a few run ins during her memories and showed a lot of her problems with the music industry and what they put her through. Now she's frequenting the Prancing Pony more, returning to the roots of what she loves music and just enjoying herself. And she's trying her best to figure out how to bond with Alice again. It's been so long since they acted like a read brother and sister, y'know?
Goals For Your Character: I want her to eventually realize that she doesn't have to eternally suffer to make up for the bullshit she put people through as a kid / teenager. Eventually I'm open to her raising to the level of Legend as she comes to terms with this. Also maybe romance? Anyone over 18, though she tends to like the kind of rough-tough yankee types like herself with guys and soft, sweet and wholesome when it comes to women. That's not set in stone though.

Character Living Quarters: Dirk's ranch in Cruel Summer
Character Schools: Kuma Lisa, mostly taking literature classes. He also takes few classes over Agrona to learn how to fight better.
Day to Day Life: Kaneki spends a lot of time over Dirk's ranch, however he goes to school every day and likes to spend time at the library there as well. Because he cooks for Dirk, he also spends a lot of time looking up recipes and getting ingredients. And given he is scared of his ghoul side and his familiar form as well, sometimes Kaneki just goes out into the woods or secluded areas to train or transform when he is alone. he and John run a tiny stall where they sell baked goods (by john) and coffee/latte art (by ken); he is also willing to deliver home-made meals and coffee to whoever asks. Current Mindset/Health: Surprisingly okay! Very happy too. He has a boyfriend (who is his Myth and his soul mate) and it has been a really healthy relationship for him. Sadly Kaneki always ends up falling back into doubt and fear, so that kind of plagues him all the time - he is afraid of not being real since in their world, a version of them was left there; he is afraid this is all a made up lie by the Fox and he is afraid there is something nefarious going on. Kaneki also tends to starve himself, which will eventually lead to bad things, but he is getting a bit better at it!
Recent Developments: He and Sunny became brothers (adoptive!), and at the end of the month we probably will have that officially happening. Some people found out he is a ghoul and the world didn't end, which was cool!

Wanted CR: I really want to get him settled with CR Kaneki can trust enough to open up more. He is introvert, has a very hard time getting close to people despite being nice to everyone and so I want him to meet others he can talk to, feel close to and be with. because Kaneki without people to rely on is like someone spiraling down he is terrible at being alone; kaneki has a lot of trauma going on and he is a sad boy who tries his hardest to be kind and gentle towards e v e r y o n e. He is very VERY lonely too, and while he has a hard time connecting to other people, he just wants to be loved.

Kaneki is also the epitome of loneliness and trauma, and he just... really is desperate for a connection, but tends to be quite nice towards those who feel the same as he do.

Kaneki has SHIT LOADS of trauma, from parental trauma to dating trauma (last pretty girl he went on a day with tried to eat him), to loneliness, abuse, torture, etc, etc etc. Kaneki does not think he is traumatized but holy hell he is a mess. Character Summary: Varen is a loyal and dedicated individual who has settled himself into a life of service as a bodyguard to the royal family in his native land. He's quiet, thoughtful, and is trying to lay low after the recent heartache of losing his love (the princess he was guarding) to a political marriage in a foreign land. Ordinarily he tries for a stoic, calm demeanor but werewolves are emotional creatures and right before the full moon is when that's the most intense. He's protective, cautious, and a little bit of a buzzkill because of it, though experience has proven that someone with enough charm can convince him to do nearly anything.

Character Summary: Gemmaline is genuinely good at heart and wants to make the right choices that keep people around her safe and happy. She hopes for a good solution to problems that arise, but recognizes that in truth not everything can turn out well and is mainly a realist; understanding that the world is cruel but at least trying to push things in the right direction. She has little patience for whiners, slackers, or the pompous. Her background is that of an orphan who grew up in a society that heavily values claiming lineage to one of the Great Houses, so being classified as a nobody has turned her against the rich, titled, and powerful — especially if they abuse that power. She was a bit more wild in her youth, being a member of the Thieves' Guild and stealing from those she felt deserved it, but now she only does sneaky things if it's to uncover a villain's plot and is more likely to want to help those in need. She's been thrust into the role of savior for her world like any good little MMORPG protagonist, but again, she's more of a realist about it than anything else.

Current Mindset/Health: She feels more involved in the population here due to rescuing people from bubbles and others seeing her memories. Usually she doesn't stick to one place for too long so this is a new feeling.
Recent Developments: She's starting to make friends and would like a bunch more since she's left a network of friends and acquaintances behind at home. She also used her spoons to bring her mount here from home. If anyone wants a lift on a huge ram made of starlight, just call on her!
Goals For Your Character: I'd like for there to be a mixture of events where she helps people and where she fails because she's heavily depended on in her world and she needs both a break and to realize that trying to do it all isn't feasible.
Problems With Your Character: Gemmaline is still missing friends and has leftover sadness from what she saw in her memories. ESO doesn't have romance built into it, but sometimes characters get flirty and it's implied that perhaps someday there could be something, so who she saw in her memory was one such person before he sacrificed himself. That event plus hearing about people gaining soulmates and in relationships has her wondering if such a thing is even meant for her.
Wanted CR: All of the above! She was an orphan and gathering found family is important. She's always down for learning something new or teaching others in turn. And I would be down for romance if things steered that way (M/F 18+). Characer Species: Human/flesh mecha
Character Details: Eren doesn't tend to have a lot of outward expression (which is WILD considering he was super expressive when he was just a few years younger, but ya boy went absolutely off the deep end), but he's someone who tends to just seem dangerous. Even if you have no idea about the titan thing, he's just got that Vibe, you know? Underneath that stoicism he does still have way too many emotions, he's just like #repression or something idk. He's very intense, probably seems edgy, doesn't really care if you make fun of him. Basically he has to learn how to just be a person again. He's sssssort of getting there.
Character Summary: WHEW okay, Eren comes from a world where there are people with the potential to turn into titans (see above flesh mecha link), though most of them cannot do so voluntarily. The involuntary titans eat people. That is pretty much all they do! Eren was a soldier fighting titans, though PLOT TWIST (not really), he can actually turn into one himself. A bunch of awful horrible shit happens for a long time and then there's a time skip, and REAL PLOT TWIST, Eren stopped being the protagonist and became the antagonist. There's another absolutely bonkers plot twist that happens too (you can read all about it in my August event post actually) and idk everything is truly horrific all the time forever ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
If you're like "hey Lyn that told me absolutely nothing about the plot of attack on titan" you're right and I'm sorry.
At the canon point he's from, Eren experiences time in a totally abnormal way so learning about his past is not always easy because he gets kind of confused or weird about the order of events. He's an extremely well-informed narrator but he's not necessary reliable, especially because he won't always tell the whole truth.
He's coming around to the realisation that he misses having friends? Kind of? He misses touching people after having spent like a year pretending to be an injured prisoner in a military psych hospital (this is actually WORSE than it sounds, I am sorry for attack on titan's everything).

Character Role Deets: Eren doesn't have any permanent features, but his myth is the blue one myth. I haven't come up with anything story-wise to explore yet, though I'm CONSIDERING messing with this a la Bleach vizards. Haven't hashed that out yet in my head, but physical:
Sometimes if you look at him wrong you might see Eren's titan's features on his face (like these teeth), or his eyes will glow too green. Depending on the event I'll give him an oni mask (in either form; wow imagine a 50 foot tall blue oni! Like the titan wasn't scary enough lol!)
Character Living Quarters: Cottage in Gram because he's antisocial and also, you know, sometimes turns into a giant monster
Character Schools: Not his thing, though he could probably be convinced to attend one.
Day to Day Life: This is the hardest question for me in RP since I tend to sort of gloss over slice of life things and go for the ~emotional meaty bits~ so he just does idk regular things. He's bad at being a person. He's fascinated with food, though, since he grew up with scarcity so he will try pretty much any food he can get his hands on here! It would not occur to him to get ?? A job ?? Hello, he's a weapon/soldier/full time crazy person, why would he think about a regular job? But maybe he'll pick one up at some point. He literally cannot imagine a world without war despite having lived in Folkmore for a few months so just the ins and outs of what it is like to not be a soldier fighting everyone? He has no idea.
Current Mindset/Health: WELL, he's getting over a chronic case of "became the villain on purpose" and dealing with what it even means to be removed from the context that made him that way. Everything he's done his whole life has been very specifically rooted in where/how he grew up, so now he's just kind of directionless. It's a good place for him to be, much better than the entire way his canon ends, but ICly it's jarring. He sometimes lets himself have emotions again, so that's…happening I guess!
Recent Developments: Thanks to talking to people about lore, and to some memory share stuff, he's coming around to thinking about what he even wants because all of that murder (that he didn't actually do yet back home but knows he will do) wasn't really what he wanted. What does he want? He has no idea! But at least he's starting to try to answer that question.
Had a weird mental setback because of the violence milk where he picked a fight with Heine, who he can't take in a fight where he's not a titan, and got some horrific injuries. He can heal almost anything so he was fine but Eren is someone who has violent tendencies and this reminded him of that? Whoops
He also had some weird AU shit he's not really thinking about. In August he was his 15-year-old self for a hot second, which was actually not all that weird for him because blah blah time weirdness
Goals For Your Character: Anything that pulls him out of his stupid bullshit and makes him have to confront the fact that he has feelings and so do other people is good for him. His "full potential" at home is a terrible nightmare, but he doesn't have to be that! He gets to experience actual freedom, which is something he's always been obsessed with, but what does that look like? How do you forgive yourself for things you did in a time loop that technically haven't happened yet but you know about? What does it look like to just exist, forgiveness aside?
But also like he DID make a choice to do unforgivable things back home. He can make really shitty choices too. I'm down to explore hideous mistakes or whatever.
I'm also really interested in the soulmates idea just as a trope, throwing that out there.
Problems With Your Character: Eren just is a problem tbh NO OKAY he has massive amounts of trauma from growing up in hell, and he shoved all his emotions in a box and hasn't really taken them back out again. Mostly he's just a big question mark. He could do with sharing some feelings but it's hard to get that out of him. He tends to share things about his world in bits and pieces, which is half because he doesn't think like a normal person and half because he's a manipulative pain in the ass like that and old habits die hard. I think maybe the only person who has gotten anywhere near close to the whole story out of him is Gideon.
Wanted CR: LISTEN, listen, I am always here to write trashy trash (the m/m kind mostly) and I'm not quiet about it so if you're here for the naughty stuff, let us talk. Otherwise, people who can pull Eren out of his nonsense even a little bit. That doesn't have to be gentle. People who will try to get him to have fun, to act like a teenager instead of whatever it is that he does instead. Other people who are/were violent, who can understand and deal with that, are always welcome too. He may not be A Villain now but he's a messed up person and he does tend to solve problems with violence, and that's not going to change overnight.

Prior to all the apocalypses, though, he was a history post-grad who loved stories of adventure and wanted nothing more than to have a grand adventure himself, and the longer he's away from his responsibilities, the more that part of him starts to resurface.

Character Role Deets: As a Myth, he'll have a single crystal horn and honestly just kind of think being designated as a Myth is kind of hilarious.

Character Schools: He doesn't attend any of the schools, but he's in their libraries so frequently, you'd be easily forgiven for thinking he is.
Day to Day Life: G'raha's sleep schedule is a mess because he has no official minder here, which means nobody is stopping him from staying up all night reading and forgetting to eat. But whatever time it is when he starts his day, he usually starts it by getting breakfast at Vex's bakery, and he spends a lot of time visiting the various school libraries and just generally being around.
Current Mindset/Health: He's doing alright for right now, but the fog's going to fuck with his energy levels, though at least not as badly as the constant rain last month did.
Recent Developments: The big thing is he's about to canon update! If any of his CR wants to do something with him being a mass of sparkly for a while when that happens, let me know, but otherwise he'll probably just make a foxi post about it after the fact.
Goals For Your Character: I'd like to do a ship with G'raha, but that's also something I would want to develop naturally. But, like, he's available if anyone down with a real slow burn wants to see if their character has chemistry with him.
Problems With Your Character: As mentioned above, the fog's going to tire him out, and he's generally bad at taking care of himself.

Character Details: Rarely lets his guard down - the bigger/more potentially intimidating you are, the more likely he is to get defensive around you. He doesn't actually have any fighting abilities to back it up though, so...
Character Summary: Shen Jiu is an orphan/beggar/slave who's seen all the worst parts of society and has very little faith in the inherent goodness of mankind (emphasis on Man there). He's been a little more willing to get along with people in Folkmore so far in part because everything's so weird? The people are weird too? Gotta have new standards and he's young enough to adapt in some ways.

Character Role Deets: Shen Jiu can turn into a fennec fox, otherwise he and I both haven't really done enough to know what we're doing with the role...it'd be nice to have a thread or two just for him to explore his new form and whatever else familiars can do (I need to reread the info page...)

Character Schools: He does not go to school and is waffling on what he wants to do but probably should sign up for one at some point because he is only partially literate and really wants to learn how to fight people.
Day to Day Life: Shen Jiu can be seen wandering at random in a variety of areas with no particular goal or destination, occasionally trying to coax free stuff from people out of habit. He regularly returns to his den by sundown like some sort of diurnal wild animal making sure to avoid predators.
Current Mindset/Health: Calmer than he was when he started! A little more relaxed! A little bit homesick but we can just ignore that.
Recent Developments: He experienced(?) his first(?) hug(?) and is still highly unlikely to hug anyone of his own volition but hey! Also asked Kaneki for cooking lessons so we'll see if that works out.
Goals For Your Character: I want Jiu to learn to open up to people...discover friendship...he canonically grows up to be alone and friendless and such a defeatist he won't even defend himself if you accuse him of murder, so the goal is to give him! Happiness!!
Problems With Your Character: The only real struggles he's going through right now are things like his own personal living standards (low) and goals (he knows what he wants to do but in the way a child might say "I want to be the president" and have no idea what steps are needed to get there).
