Nanami nods. "A different kind of terrible," Nanami says. There isn't exactly a student that's treated well, only varying degrees of terrible and manipulative. He does his best to look out for them, but it's not much. Not enough he expects most of them to notice. Whether that indicts him for not doing enough, well, it's too late to do anything about the past.

"You feel best handling everything yourself," Nanami summarizes, "even when the other person who might handle it is you." It's a difficult statement logically speaking. However, it makes sense with what little Nanami knows of Okkatsu and what he's seen today. "Given you have the opportunity to train up and to gain more abilities here than he does, I too would prefer it were you."
