[OOC: I'll try and dodge Wish spoilers in the comments the best I can, but if you want me to put in even more effort to avoid any movie context, hit me up on his opt-out post!]
CLOSED INTROSPECTIVE, SPOILERS FOR WISH'S ENDING
[One would expect long stretches of solitude after all's said and done, but Magnifico had only just been moved to the dungeon when he's approached by Thirteen. It isn't at all surprising to him. He's been chosen by an omnipotent spirit, still destined for a greater purpose even now. Time for a new adventure, a new home, a new dream.
When the Fox leads the way, he pauses in his tracks and glances back over his shoulder only once. Is it right to leave Amaya behind? But then he shakes his head and keeps walking. If she had him tossed into the dungeons to teach him a lesson, then this is the lesson he will learn. He isn't even truly aware that the more distance is put between himself and Rosas, the more the influence of a certain book wears off. To use the forbidden magic tethers one to it, but only in that same universe. He regains his freedom in more ways than one. Two small green horns, angled backwards like those of a dragon, manifest as he trails after Thirteen, bombarding her with questions. If he's to start anew, he's to learn as much as he can, just as he's always done.
Myth? His story would become a myth now. Certainly no longer a legend. The term "Star Child" hits him like a slap to the back of the head, but before he can question it, he's already falling, shooting across the sky like the thing that caused his downfall.

[Detention For ONE THOUSAND YEARS | OTA]
[Magnifico awakens in the library with a start, trying to shake off the confusion in a very literal sense. He doesn't know which portions of his hazy memories were a dream and which were real. Everything's sort of a blur after… well. He'd known the risks of that going into it. But as he raises a hand to his head and feels unfamiliar horns beneath his fingers, he realizes that the Fox bit was real for certain. Interesting.
The circumstances of his presence here are ridiculous, though. Detention? Him? He's a king! He's the king! But as he stares down at the detention slip in his clenched hand, fingers still covering the words, an avalanche of possibilities races through his thoughts. Is this because…? Or maybe…? Drawing in a deep breath, his fingers flex and reveal the reason for detention.
"Wasn't forthright with Dahlia about the level of appreciation for her cookies."
… Right. Those sand-textured things that he pretended to enjoy because they were shaped like his face, but hardly ever ate. Odd reason to get detention, but if that was the worst of his crimes– Well, of course it was the worst of his crimes. He never committed any real crimes to begin with.]
Hah. Four hours to reflect on this? That's a bit much, isn't it? [He puts the slip down on his desk, then leans over to the nearest Star Child with a smile.] So, what are you in for?
[Like Something Out Of A Story | OTA]
[Did Magnifico pass the time in the library reading books? Of course. He can't be in a library in a strange new universe and not start learning as much as he can. And did he pull a few weapons from the books out of idle curiosity? Sure. When he can pull a bow and arrow out of the pages, of course he'll do it, just to see what'll happen.
Trouble is, he didn't keep the weapons. He's not a fighter, he's a sorcerer, so he's got no use for any of that stuff.
Now that he's left the building and started walking down the street, a dragon's jumped him. Not a full grown dragon- more the size of a horse, but it still breathes fire and it's still got sharp teeth. He's left trying to fend it off with magic, a thrust of light blue shimmers sent the dragon's way to push it backwards.]
Away with you! Shoo!
[The dragon promptly pushes its way through the torrent of blue and raises a paw for a swipe. Magnifico's dodge is not quite fast enough, and the next second, its claws have ripped through his fancy cape. He spreads it out with one hand to assess the damage, scowling.]
Seriously? Why couldn't you be the sassy kind of dragon?! [He turns his glare back to the assailant just in time to see another claw headed his way, and dives off towards the side with a yelp. While it's a smooth enough landing on his arms, ultimately he's still flat on the ground, leaving him scampering away from the dragon on all fours.] Whoah- No no no no!
[Help… him…?]
