As usual, this is the Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, and remind our players of upcoming dates!
Next Four Weeks' Setting Info
🦊 Please welcome back Kuma Lisa as the reigning iteration of Thirteen. She's often seen in very stereotypically autumn-y colors, and loves to exist as an anthropomorphic fox as much as she likes to be in a human or human-with-ears-and-tail guise. You'll find her around ... a lot. Classes at Kuma Lisa Academy are now also being advertised as "20% off," but you'll have to sign up for the class to find out what it's 20% off of (none of Folkmore's schools charge tuition). She promises that it is never 20% off of a student. The majority of the school's spirits say that it's getting 100% of the class material in 80% of the usual amount of time, but nobody can explain how it's possible.
🦊 The weather everywhere is remarkably mild; even Wintermute is just a little bit of a bitter wind to the air and is otherwise largely free of storms and significant chills, though you'll still want to be in a parka. Everywhere else sits around 18 ºC (mid-60s ºF) the majority of the time. There's still the odd rain (and the rain sometimes tastes like sugar water) but it's a really calm month. Unless it would suit narrative convenience to trap a number of Star Children in a small space together or something, and then there might be a convenient storm. Kuma Lisa is like that.
🦊 Some trees will lose their leaves, some will keep them, and others will sprout flowers—as if they're all in different seasons. It's not different per the different areas of Folkmore right now, it's just seemingly at random except for the tree houses people live in, which have all had their leaves change color but not fall from the branches—and the leaves are in this color scheme
(neon magenta, neon purple, neon green, neon blue) rather than the expected oranges, yellows, greens and browns. Enjoy your dayglo trees, treehouse dwellers.
Mod Notes & Reminders
🦊 Invites are open, and the October and November TDM has been posted (it's very sweet and creative!). The next event will go up on November 13th.
🦊 The IC Mingle is still available to play in and is not "too old" for those of you who worry about such things: the TDM being up doesn't mean you can't keep Mingling!
🦊 A note on check-in: the summaries asked for are IC, and check-in is IC only. Please don't feel the need to explain your OOC circumstances in a check-in comment, and please don't concern yourselves with including links; we only want to know a minimum of one thing your character was doing to show that you've thought about it at all and maintain interest in the game. It can absolutely be handwaved, and if you weren't able to play at all? Just let us know what normal stuff your character was up to – feel free to use a reply you've already used, or say "their usual business," or something along those lines.
