The dragon comes in again from above, too high to jump to avoid. Loid dives toward it, turning to skid on his back. His arms reach up, and he digs his hands into the seam and pulls. Fortunately, it's stuffing and now viscera that falls onto him. The dragon is gravely wounded but drags itself away with a trail of plush flames lying on the ramparts.
"You're safe, Princess Anya," Loid says, in hopes this is what Anya and whatever the heck is going on wants. He just wants her to be safe.
