You say that, but curses are weird, you could be.

I'd rather not have to exorcise you though so try and pull yourself together.

Ah, but in Folkmore you simply come back as you. No exorcism required.

Oh I'm together, no worries. Just taking a break to eat a ration bar.

Oh that's a terrible idea. Please, if you don't want to cook let me at least make you something. A ration bar can't be good.

I can cook. It's only that the cooked food is up where I fell from, and the ration bar is down here. I didn't feel like using my spoon.

That said, I will not turn down a home cooked meal. I can cook, but I wouldn't call it a hobby.

[ If text could convey sighing, it would. ]

Honestly, just stay put and give me twenty minutes or so.

See if you can at least make it somewhere more comfortable than the floor.

I didn't even get a floor. I'm on the ground below a tree. [ Tree. Tree house. Stairs. Tree is the stairs. ]

It's a nice view, but I'll see about reaching the lake.

[ It's closer to 25 minutes really, before Toge makes his appearance, but presumably he can find Jedao without much of a problem. He holds out a bento box with two layers and a pair of chopsticks on top. Although if he can't use those, he can probably conjure him up a fork or something.

The first layer is three little octopus sausages, a few cherry tomatoes and some orange segments, and the second later is half rice and half a savoury omelet roll, in his defense the rice is leftover, but warmed up enough to take the chill out of it. ]

Tuna, tuna.

[ Jedao gets to the lake easily enough. He's not so hungry he can't heal. He's simply not so open about that he won't lie. It's a nice view, and he's used to waiting. The few photos he takes look... not awful. Stereotypical Jedao. Like someone should be in them and expect to die.

He waves Toge over and accepts the food—and chopsticks—with gusto. It looks delicious, far more put together than what he makes. ]

Saaaaaalmon. Thank you.

[ Jedao is hungry, and ration bars do nothing compared to this. He digs in. ]

[ Toge responds with a warm smile and a little wave. ]

Kelp.

[ He moves and takes a seat, leaning back on his hands. It was no trouble anyway, he likes cooking and he had things lying around for a quick lunch. ]

[ Jedao looks over at the kid not eating anything and motions around them. ]

What about you?

[ Kids deserve lunch too. More in fact. ]

Fish flakes.

[ He didn't bring anything for himself, whether that's because he ate before or just isn't worried about it, he doesn't really specify. ]

Tuna mayo. [ His tone is encouraging, eat up Jedao. ]

[ Jedao nods and accepts the answer. If he sees the kid not eating, he'll say something, but Toge was concerned about how he is eating. It seems unlikely. ]

Well thank you. You whipped that up really fast.

[ He eats a few bites and sighs. ]

And it's better than my mom's cooking.

[ Jedao doesn't have to worry, Toge's a voracious eater, but he just didn't bring anything for himself at the moment. He does smile, pleased at the compliment. ]

Tuna. [ He says, very cheerfully, thanking him for the compliment. ]

[ Jedao spends a little time simply eating and enjoying the view in simple silence. The view, no matter what of, is something he always appreciates. Same with company. Yes, he knows how silly that may seem given he lives alone, but paranoia dies hard.

A good ways in but not done, Jedao gives a contented sigh. ]

I've been learning some stuff here, and I swear it leaves me hungrier than normal.

[ There's no surprise in actuality. He injures himself, and it takes energy to heal. The more he heals, the more he needs to eat. If his figure weren't fixed, he'd probably have slimmed down. ]

[ He can relate to that. Toge is quiet, but he doesn't look bothered by that, it's a natural state of being. At Jedao's words, he smiles and pats his stomach. ]

Tuna mayo. [ His tone suggests good humour like he is making a joke. He's a teenager, he's pretty much always hungry. It's completely normal. ]

[ Jedao snorts and laughs. It hasn't been that long since he experienced being a teenager. ]

Yeah, I know. You still growing? [ He raises an eyebrow. Jedao's not a big man, but he's still smaller than this teenager. ]

[ His best answer on that is a shrug. Who knows? It hasn't seemed very likely though. In the last year he's barely grown an inch, if even that. He might just be a small guy. ]

That's okay. People always underestimate us small guys. [ Jedao grins. Well, not him anymore, not even when he's been even shorter. His reputation back home is too large for that. That's the thing about having anchors, Jedao's been all shapes and sizes. ]
