Announcements and Feedback
Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, and remind our players of upcoming dates!
Upcoming weather for January
🦊 Snow continues to fall on Folkmore throughout the month of January. Snowstorms have become more common, specially around Wintermute, but neither Willow or Epiphany are safe from them. Some people might find their houses completely covered in it; streets are frozen and icicles can be seen all around after particularly rough snowstorms. Cruel Summer remains the warmest place during the day, but at night temperatures plummet as well, and while there is no snow in Exile either, the freezing fog allows rime ice to form everywhere.
🦊 NPC Spirits are no longer able to keep the lanterns from December going. Most retreat into their houses in order to keep warm and safe from the cold. Star Children will find the cold seeping everywhere, as if even freezing their bones. It's, of course, magical in nature, and the best way to warm up is to reach for others - specially strangers! Star Children will feel a strong pull towards those they haven't met yet, and once two strangers find each other, they well feel a warmth that brings great relief.
🦊 Thoth will be Thirteen's iteration present throughout the month of January; she will appear as a white fox and will be willing to show the way to those who get lost at night. If asked how she is or what she is planning, Thoth will reply with a mysterious smile "I can't wait to see what you Star Children are capable of! I hope it's a lot of fun and weird". Togo, the grey wolf who is the mascot for the school of Thoth, will sometimes be seen around Wintermute and stop people from going too deep into the mountains on their own: you don't want to get lost during a snowstorm!
Mod notes and Reminders
🦊 We have changed the times set for our Check-In Cycle. Check-In was from the 1st to the 5th; on the 5th we would post a Check-In Results and give our players the chance to continue to Check-In until the 8th. Basically, Check-In actually ran from the 1st to the 8th. We have opted to reflect this on the Calendar to make it more clear. A reminder to do Check-in will still be posted on the 5th.
🦊 Don't forget our Invite Cycle opened today. We are now using a static Invites Page, rather than using the Story of Us posts.
🦊 Our TDM will be posted between the 22nd and the 25th.
