"Omoikane is the brain of the Battleship Nadesco. It has a crew of over 150 people. Most AIs in my world pilot ships because they can handle the functions of 50-100 crew members so more amenities can be put in them."

She shrugs, "That and most of them don't get on terribly well with humans. They grow up in environments that are too different."
