I'm starting to not believe you. ;)

[Nat looks over at the book and then looks at the girl. Classical Regency Era English literature is not her speciality, but who doesn't know Jane Austen nowadays. It's rarer for Americans to know anything about Russian literature outside of Tolstoy and Dostoevsky. If the girl is that interested in classical romantic literature, Natasha could point her towards some of Gogol's work, but probably not right now.]

Literature is a good in to find out about a culture's temperature, especially what they allow others to actually read.

[That was always an issue back in the USSR, and even somewhat in the America she's come from.]
