Shen Jiu doesn't know what she's thinking, and also doesn't feel wrong in the slightest about his current course of action. He does what he wants! Especially in this strange new world with a suspicious lack of authority figures (at least the type he's familiar with).

But he's also a lonely kid, and can't help relaxing slightly when she finally catches up. "Does it look like there's windows?" Don't answer that, it was rhetorical. "We're probably gonna have to try these rooms and see if one of them has a window. Like....that one." He points to a random door a little ways down the hall, with a potentially promising(?) squiggle on it.
